Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is a Rockstar Games action-adventure game created in partnership with Rockstar Leeds and Rockstar North. In October 2006, the tenth instalment in the Grand Theft Auto series was published as a PlayStation Portable exclusive. In March 2007, a PlayStation 2 port was launched. The game is a prequel to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (set in 1986) and is set in the fictional Vice City (based on Miami) in 1984. It follows the exploits of ex-soldier Victor "Vic" Vance, a minor character from that game. Vic and his brother Lance want to construct a criminal empire together, but they run into rival gangs, drug lords, and other opponents along the way.
