Naruto (Japanese: NARUTOナルト) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. It tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who seeks recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village. The story is told in two parts – the first set in Naruto's pre-teen years, and the second in his teens. The series is based on two one-shot manga by Kishimoto: Karakuri (1995), which earned Kishimoto an honorable mention in Shueisha's monthly Hop Step Award the following year, and Naruto (1997).

The sixth instalment of the Ultimate Ninja series, Naruto Shippden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3, was revealed as a PlayStation Portable-only game.

The game includes Sasuke and the Hebi members from the Itachi Pursuit Mission as well as four-player local multiplayer bouts. Additionally, it has team moves like Jiraiya and Naruto performing Rasengan simultaneously. It includes a story arc created specifically for this game by Cyberconnect2, as well as regular ones that follow the Naruto Shippden and Sasuke's stories. Additionally, there is a game-exclusive arc called Filler Story Mode that is a continuation of an earlier arc. There are 50 playable characters, but no pre-timeskip characters.
